Hi there! Here, you will discover the essence of my journey and the passion that drives my work in education. I am Camille Empey, your Dual Language Coach, and a dedicated educator with 22 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching Multilingual Learners, whom I fondly refer to as Bilingual Geniuses. My path led me to become one of the pioneering Dual Language Teachers at a larger district in Southwest Washington, where I played a pivotal role in shaping the district’s Dual Language Program.

 

After 15 years of teaching, I transitioned into the role of the district's Dual Language specialist, working closely with teachers to enhance their understanding of the curriculum resources. This experience illuminated the pressing need for customized frameworks and detailed scopes and sequences to empower educators and principals to navigate resources effectively. Delving deeply into resource development became my passion, unraveling complex concepts to equip teachers with profound insights in a matter of minutes.

 

In the past three years, I have embraced the role of a school administrator in a diverse educational setting, gaining invaluable insights into the essential systems required for the success of programs and initiatives. Recognizing the critical importance of teachers comprehensively understanding their resources, I advocate for in-depth training to alleviate the overwhelming expectations often associated with new materials. By fostering a deep understanding of resources, we create a cohesive educational ecosystem where every child thrives.
